This is the first installment on a series to demonstrate and explore some fun new ways to think about typography. It's an expansion on an exercise I did in my Advanced Graphic Design program when I studied abroad at University of the Arts London, Central St. Martin's.
The idea is to choose a font, and think of a word or phrase that it evokes. Then, design a piece using that font that evokes the phrase visually.
Here, the font I chose was an adobe font called Funkydori. The roundness of the curled flourishes made me think of waves. So, we have waves!
